  • McNair Scholars Program, Virtual Annual McNair Day Celebration, 2–4 p.m., Zoom
    The McNair Scholars Program is an undergraduate research internship and graduate school preparation program funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The program serves first generation and underrepresented students, providing them with funding for research and other professional developmental opportunities, in the effort to prepare them for graduate school.   • Open Door Day (all-day, campus-wide event)
    Faculty, staff, centers invite first-generation students to connect and learn about opportunities. Click here for list of participating units.
  • TRiO Virtual First Generation Alumni Networking Event, 6–7 p.m. (virtual event hosted by the McNair Scholars Program and TRiO Student Support Services) for TRIO SSS/McNair students only 
  • Council for Opportunity in Education Celebration Day Panel, 2 p.m. (National Event – free to all)
  • College of Arts and Science First-Gen Students Celebration, 3–4 p.m. Middlebush 212
    The College of Arts and Science is hosting a first-gen open house featuring the undergraduate dean, director of advising, internships coordinator, and some A&S first-gen faculty, staff and advisors. A&S T-shirts, first-gen and A&S stickers, and food available.
  • Department of Human Development and Family Science
    Conversations with First-Gen HDFS Faculty and Students 4–5 p.m. in Gwynn Lounge. Join us for pizza, snacks and refreshments.
